The Commercial Manager is responsible for overseeing business growth efforts.  Duties include conducting market research to identify new business opportunities and client leads, coordinating with company leadership to conduct risk assessments and maintaining beneficial relationships with clients, suppliers, and other business partners. This position also oversees the development of proposals, bids, quotations or other documents describing organizational products and services in response to requests from prospective clients.

Essential Duties

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Help develop business growth strategies to  meet organizational goals and objectives
  • Build and nurture client relationships by working with new Enterprise markets.
  • Attend networking events and build industry connections to facilitate business growth
  • Ensure that the company and its commercial customers comply with contractual obligations as well as state and federal regulations
  • Works with other department heads to help balance resources needed for commercial customers
  • Work with commercial customers to align the company’s roadmap with their strategic roadmap
  • Oversee branding and marketing endeavors to ensure all efforts are aligned with business goals
  • Assist on negotiating and bidding for new projects and contract terms with new clients
  • Manage client relationships through the company’s CRM ( Microsoft Dynamics)
  •  Identifying opportunities for new contracts or Upselling possibilities
  • Analyze data and create reports to identify areas of business growth.
  • Monitor local  and federal regulations.
  • Recruit and Manage contractor and vendor relationships
  • Efficiently Research and respond to formal procurement requests- RFPs, RFIs and RFQs



Skills Required

Additional and/or Specific Skills

  • 2+ years prior experience in business development or marketing fields
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Out of the Box thinker
  • Ability to communicate nuanced information properly
  • Team Player
  • Works well under pressure
  • Time Management skills
  • Ability to run multiple tasks in tandem
  • Ability to research legal obligations within commercial markets
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry contacts
  • Microsoft Office (Office suite + Visio)
  • RFP, RFI or contract bidding experience highly desired.





  • PREFERRED: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or other related field or combination of education and work experience.

  • Exposure to call center noise.
  • Repetitive typing using personal computers.
  • Sitting for long periods of time.
  • Medium to heavy phone exposure.
